A resent picture of you is optimal; it doesn't need to be biometric. Your passport photo should meet the following criteria:

File format: jpg or png
Size: ca. 35 x 45 mm (portrait format)
Picture definition: 150 dpi - or better 300 dpi
Background: as possible neutral
Picture: face clearly visible, frontal view

Selecting your German regional group

If you live outside Germany, you can select a German regional group to which you would like to be assigned when you apply for membership. This assignment will enable you to actively participate in the association's activities at a later date and will guarantee you participation rights. You can also be automatically assigned to a regional group. To do so, please select the option “No selection – please assign by SV!”.
