Information on Data Privacy for the processing and usage of data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
We would like to inform you that the data you provided us with on your membership form with regard to your personal and factual circumstances (personal data) shall be stored on data processing systems. The data shall be processed and used for administrative purposes.

Membership within the association is a contractual relationship between the members and the association. The contractual contents are basically specified in the statutes and regulations. Those rulebooks define the association goals for which also the membership data shall be used. The statutes can be consulted at any time.
The data collected in your membership form are only being used for the purpose of the performance of the contractual relationship and the procedure is based on Article 6 paragraph 1 let. b) of the GDPR.
In addition to the above mentioned the data processing may be based on Article 6 paragraph 1, let. f) of the GDPR in individual cases in fulfilment of the legitimate objectives of the association or of a third party, or based on your personal consent for a specific purpose of processing according to article 6, paragraph 1 let. a) of the GDPR.
A submission of excerpts of the collected data to the respective national and local groups is always based on the purposes as specified in the statutes. This kind of data transfer becomes necessary for administrative purposes between the main association, the national groups and the local groups. The data processing also implies the factual data of dogs or competitions with dogs in terms of examinations, shows, agility competitions or other sporting events.
Through their membership and the recognition of statutes and regulations related thereto the members also agree to the publication of photos and names in print- and tele-media as well as in electronic media of the association as far as this complies with the statutory duties and purposes of the association.
Please note that our webpages are also accessible for search engines. For that reason, you need to take into account that your name and photo might be found by search engines and be stored there or at some other storage location. For reasons as outlined above we cannot rule out that your photo remains available otherwise even though we might have already deleted that data material from our data stores.
We do not aim at the transmission of your personalized data to so-called third countries – however – we cannot guarantee that parties from countries without proper privacy standards visit our webpages.
We store and process your photo data and information until further notice in terms of your approval respectively until you file an objection in this respect.
Based on the GDPR requirements we are obliged to inform you about the usage and processing of your personalized data.
We ensure you that we will treat your personal data strictly confidentially and that we will not pass the data on to third parties unless the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V. is legally obligated to do so. Upon request, you are entitled to be provided with information about your personal data we stored which will be free of charge. In addition, you are entitled to have your data corrected, limitations imposed on the extent of processing and to the deletion of your personal data within the legal stipulations in this respect. The filing of an objection takes no retroactive effect and has to be sent to the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V. As a consequence, you might only be able use our services in a limited fashion or not at all. Also, your membership rights might be impeded or the exercise hereof rendered impossible.
The deletion of your personal data shall be arranged for three years after the termination of your membership, unless the fulfilment of statutory purposes and legal storage periods require for a longer retention.
