Greetings

National Warden for Trial & Training and Head of Organization

Dear Dog Sports Lovers,
Dear Friends of the German Shepherd Dog Breed,
Dear Guests,

In my position as head of organisation of this year’s Bundessiegerprüfung IGP & Agility scheduled from September 19th to September 22nd, 2024, I would like welcome you all most cordially at the Franken-Stadium in the town of Heilbronn.

This year’s national qualification trial will be held upon a special occasion. Our club celebrates its 125-year-anniversary, and therefore, we are all the more delighted to be the host of this event.

I owe my deepest respect to the national group of Württemberg under the leadership of Arnd Brändle with the entire board of directors and the members of our national group, who offer their precious volunteer work for our club and the event. I would like to give a personal mention to the chairlady of the local chapter of Heilbronn, Ms.  Nicole Ruiz-Maile. Without people like her and their selfless efforts this event would not have happened. Thank you so much for this.

My special greetings go to the town of Heilbronn, and I would like to thank the lord mayor, Mr. Harry Mergel, und the mayoress, Ms Agnes Christner. I also wish to cordially greet the patroness of the event, member of the state parliament, Ms. Swantje Sperling. As a member of our organization and proud owner of a German Shepherd Dog she has been active for years and always has a sympathetic ear for us and our hobby.

Also, I would like to greet the members of the SV-Board of Directors together with our president Roswitha Dannenberg as well as all officiating judge colleagues, defense work helpers, track layers and commissioners under the leadership of the head judge for IGP, the federal warden for trial & training, Mr. Wilfried Tautz, and the commissioner for sports, Mr. Björn Bröker, from the agility section.

My very special greetings go to the main protagonists, the dog handlers, and starters in both sections with their four-legged-friends. The participants from 19 national groups have prepared their dogs with lots of hard work, commitment, and technical knowledge for this event. Skills, diligence, and good luck are all part of it, and I do hope that this will guide the participants in Heilbronn. Particularly in our times, where dog sport also faces criticism, it matters very much to show the people and all members how nice dog sports, and the harmonious coexistence of mankind and dogs can be.

My thanks also go to the local farmers for letting us use their fields for our tracking work, as well as to the hunting community for showing their sympathy for our hobby.

I am looking forward to four great days in Heilbronn. I wish all competitors the best of luck for this competition and for all guests from near and far beauty- and eventful days in the Franken-Stadium in Heilbronn.

With kind wishes,
Daniele Strazzeri
National Warden for Trial & Training and Head of Organization

Chairman National Group of Württemberg

Welcome
to this year’s Bundessiegerprüfung (qualification trial) IGP & Agility.

From September 20th to September 22nd, 2024, the German Shepherd Dog breed will be guest to the Franken-Stadium in Heilbronn.

On behalf of the national group of Württemberg I am pleased to cordially welcome all participants, guests and friends of our dog breed to this event.

My special greetings go to the lord mayor of the town of Heilbronn, Mr. Harry Mergel, to the mayoress, Ms. Agnes Christner, and to her team who offered us great support already during the preparation period of the event.

With Ms. Swantje Sperling – also a member to the state parliament – we found a patroness whose political activities and active membership within the SV has supported our field of sports for many years.

Greetings and a great thank you go to the chairlady of the local chapter of Heilbronn, Ms. Nicole Ruiz-Maile for her exemplary commitment for this event.

The same applies for the board of directors of the national group of Württemberg which for the first time in decades brought this event back to Württemberg, and which is involved in the planning and implementation of the event.

I would like to express my cordial thanks to the SV Board of Directors with our president, Ms. Roswitha Dannenberg.

Also, I would like to cordially welcome the head judges, Mr. Wilfried Tautz (IGP), and Mr. Björn Bröker (Agility), as well as all the judges, defense work helpers, track layers, and commissioners who will officiate during the event.

My special greetings go to all participants who qualified themselves for this event in their national groups. Many months of work and preparation with their four-legged-friends, diligence and teamwork were necessary to make this qualification happen. I wish all teams the necessary amount of good luck for this competition.

My thanks also go to the local farmers who offered their fields for us to use them for tracking work, as well as to the hunting community for showing their sympathy for our hobby.

We may look forward to four days of top-level dog sports at the Franken-Stadium. I wish all the teams the success they hope for, all guests an exciting event and a great weekend to everybody in Heilbronn.

With best wishes,
Arnd Brändle

President to the SV and WUSV

Dear Competitors,
Dear Guests, dear friends of the German Shepherd Breed,

I am pleased to welcome you to the SV-Bundessiegerprüfung IGP & Agility at the FRANKENSTADION in Heilbronn. Let us all celebrate our German Shepherd Dog breed, the Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV) e.V. and our 125th birthday from September 20th to September 22nd, 2024.

We are looking forward to once again enjoy the hospitality of the national group of Württemberg. My cordial thanks go to the Board of Directors of the national group for hosting this federal event.

In representation for so many people who offered their share and commitment for the success of the BSP IGP & Agility, I would like to give thanks to the chairperson of the national board, Mr. Arnd Brändle, as well as to the LG trial warden and SV-Vice President Daniele Strazzeri.

During the past years the LG 13 repeatedly proved their organizational skills. It is with pleasure that we think back to numerus major events which all were excellently organized and hosted.

These days, it is getting increasingly more difficult for national groups to make their contribution to the community. In all areas we are realizing the increasing difficulty to find a suitable sports facility, and in addition to that find enthusiast who are willing to volunteer.

Thus, all the more I would like to pay tribute and extend compliments to the national group of Württemberg and say THANK YOU with all my heart!

Let us look forward to great dog sports. Please enjoy the exchange with friends in dog sports from the entire country.

I wish all of you, dear competitors, much fun and all the success you hope for. And for all of us I wish for eventful days and a fair sports competition.

Warmest Regards,

Roswitha Dannenberg
President to the SV and WUSV

Dear Friends in Dog Sports,

It has always been my dream to take part in the National Qualification Trial BSP. Thus, I feel explicitly honoured to be the patroness of this year’s event.

The BSP was, is and will always remain something very special. I have always been excited about the special atmosphere on this event – knowing that I would be spending a whole weekend with so many other people who equally share both with me – my passion for dogs and dogs’ sports.

Dogs are man’s best friend. Common training and facing challenges and trials together tremendously strengthens the bond between the two of them.

Since I may not only share my life with my partner, but also with two German Shepherd Dogs named Merle and Loki, I know very well what a special kind of breed this is. I am fascinated not only by their beauty – but most of all by the especially strong character traits and by their performance.

It has always made me happy to go to the training ground with my dogs and train them for IGP and obedience. Regardless of the amount of passion that we dedicate to dogs’ sports – the love for our dogs is always paramount. They might be a central part of our lives – for our dogs we mean the world. s

The participation at the BSP takes a long way of training which does not work out without a good team and the appropriate training atmosphere. The community and the personal exchange far beyond the topic of dogs’ sports are valuable and important. Dogs’ Sports Clubs are not only places for dogs’ sports as such – they are places of encounter as well.

Especially in our times in which more and more people get lost in social media and – as has been scientifically proved – isolation of people is increasing – encounters with other people are of central importance.

This applies for all of us on a personal basis, but also for the very cohesion of our society. I remember well how I spent time with others after the training. I enjoy thinking back to those moments and I would like to encourage all of you to foster the values of our community.

I wish all of you a very nice, successful and exciting BSP event. My congratulations go to the national group of Württemberg for the hosting of this important event in dogs’ sports.

Please do enjoy the days ahead of you and let us all celebrate together – both, dogs’ sports and our dogs!

Cordial Greedings,

Swantje Sperling
Member to the Württemberg State Parliament

Herzlich

Ihr
Dr. Alexander Vogt
