Regional Group Selection for International Members Has Begun

To strengthen the participation rights of international members in the SV, the SV Federal Assembly passed an important resolution in June 2025: Members residing outside of Germany who do not currently belong to a German local group will now be able to choose which domestic SV regional group they wish to be assigned to.

This new option grants international members the same rights as their German fellow members. These include, in particular:

• The ability to run as a delegate for the Federal Assembly

• The opportunity to hold office on the board of the chosen regional group

• Direct access to their regional group for all club-related matters

Today, emails have been sent and letters mailed inviting all affected members to select their preferred German regional group by November 30, 2025.

If no selection is made by that date, the SV will automatically assign the member to a regional group.

The chosen or assigned regional group will officially take effect on January 1, 2026. From that point on, members can contact their regional group directly and actively participate in club activities.
