The term “cynology” means the science of the dog, i. e. the doctrine of breeds, breeding, care, behavior, training and diseases of domestic dogs.
Even though there is no chair for cynology, there are many renowned and recognized scientists who occupy themselves with cynological topics, such as f. ex. the well-known behavioral scientist Dorit Feddersen-Petersen.
