The adherence to the rules on inbreeding is controlled by the Pedigree Office of the German Shepherd Association SV.
This disposes of molecularbiological samples which clearly identify every dog, so that inbreeding can be eliminated and thereby dogs that are related too closely do not receive an entry in the SV studbook.
