At which age are puppies sold?
A Shepherd puppy should leave its nursery and be given over to the new owner by the breeder no earlier than with 8 weeks. The puppy at this point was chipped by the veterinarian or the SV ID delegate on the left side of its neck and is now clearly identifiable with a chip-reader.
The chip number is listed in the vaccination certificate and the SV pedigree. Also a blood sample has been taken and stored in a special laboratory. At any time, the sample offers the owner the possibility to have DNA evaluations realized.
