Current information/notes Bernd Weber
When the first deadline for registrations expired, we already recorded 1377 dogs. Against the background of our numbers in breeding, this was a more than satisfactory result.
Nevertheless, we decided to prolong the final deadline to July 22nd, 2024, and offer our members who are possibly still undecided or missed out on the first deadline the chance for participation at the Bundessiegerzuchtschau.
By then, we could record the excellent result of 1489 registered dogs. I would like to – also on behalf of the SV Board of Directors – extend my warmest thanks for this result.
In the meantime, the event schedule has been published.
Owing to the fact that all judges shall officiate for both hair varieties of their classes this year, also the schedule required adjustments in this respect.
We are aware of the fact that we cannot set up a schedule that is fully satisfactory for all exhibitors.
Please allow me to explicitly address the exhibitors who have registered for a progeny group with their dogs. Exhibitors who wish to present their dogs in a progeny group are obliged to arrive on time and as scheduled at the place where the presentation is supposed to be held for further instructions with their starting vests already on.
Not only is it an obligation to present dogs in the progeny groups, but it is also a matter of fairness. Last year, considerable delays occurred and gave valid reason for complaint.
Please be aware that this year a delay in judging caused by the unpunctual arrival of some dogs and their handlers shall no longer be tolerated.
The classes shall be presented in strict accordance with the schedule. Participants who are late, can no longer be considered.
The same applies for the presentation of the progeny groups. The groups are presented in the order as defined in the catalogue, beginning with the groups of long stock hair, followed by the stock hair groups. There will be no exceptions to the rule.
The groups that do not show the minimum number of dogs by the time as scheduled for their presentation can no longer be presented at a later time.
Groups that have reached the minimum number of dogs, shall be presented regardless of dogs that might still be missing.
I kindly ask the owners of male dogs to consider this and inform the owners of the dogs of their groups accordingly.
I wish all exhibitors the success they hope for, and for our guests from Germany and all over the world I wish a pleasant time in our SV family.
See you in Nuremberg!
With kind wishes,
Bernd Weber
