Breeders

For the protection of a kennel name, as well as the kennel name transference, it is necessary to verify the solicitor’s expertise knowledge.

Proof of expertise knowledge

The expertise knowledge of a solicitor is examined by the local group’s breeding warden. If a solicitor already owns a valid breeding warden license, it is not necessary to examine the expertise knowledge again.

For solicitors who do not own a valid breeding warden license, the local group’s breeding warden needs to examine the expertise knowledge through a questionnaire for the breeder examination. For this, 35 questions are selected and questioned randomly by the local group’s breeding warden. In order to pass the breeder exam, a correct answer is required for at least 70 % of the 35 questions.

Application

The application for the protection of a kennel name as well as the application for the transference of a kennel name can only be accepted if it has been confirmed in written by the local group’s breeding warden.

For solicitors who are not member of any SV local group, the suitability of the kennel as well as the examination of the expertise knowledge is realized by the federal group’s breeding warden, respectively a person authorized by the federal group’s breeding warden. The confirmation on the application also needs to be done by the federal group’s breeding warden or a person authorized by him or her.
